Morning – Departure from Rome
Departure from Rome Termini station (or Tiburtina depending on schedule) with FrecciaRossa 1st class train to Foggia. Comfortable 3-hour journey through the Italian countryside—landscapes of Lazio, Molise and Puglia. Time for breakfast onboard, spiritual reading, or simply preparing inwardly for the pilgrimage. Upon arrival in Foggia, meet your private driver who will take you to San Giovanni Rotondo (about 40-50 minutes by car through the Gargano hills).

Afternoon – Arrival and Guided Visit with Spiritual Guide
Arrival in San Giovanni Rotondo. Check-in at hotel in the city center (selected 3 or 4-star hotel). In the afternoon, meeting with the expert spiritual guide who will accompany you to discover the most significant places in Padre Pio's life.

Places visited (about 2 hours):

• Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie: The historic church where Padre Pio celebrated daily Mass for 50 years and where he received the stigmata in 1918. Visit to the cell where the Saint lived—a simple and austere space where he prayed and rested, preserved exactly as it was; to the confessional where he listened to thousands of faithful for hours each day; to the places of his daily life. The spiritual guide will tell you authentic episodes from the Capuchin friar's life, witnessed miracles, the profound spiritual meaning of the places, and his legacy of faith
• Cloister and outdoor spaces: The Franciscan cloister, bell tower, outdoor spaces where Padre Pio walked slowly and prayed immersed in nature. Atmosphere of peace and contemplation
• Personal free time: After the guided visit, time for personal contemplation, silent prayer, and optional visit to the Padre Pio Museum (if interested) displaying the Saint's personal objects, historical photographs, documents

Evening – Dinner at Hotel and Rest
Return to hotel. Dinner included at hotel with traditional Apulian menu (drinks excluded). Free evening for spiritual rest, quiet walk in illuminated San Giovanni Rotondo center, or return to Sanctuary for evening services if desired. Overnight.

Morning – Religious Services and Spiritual Contemplation
Breakfast at hotel. Completely free day in San Giovanni Rotondo to experience spirituality at your own personal pace, without rush or obligations—this is the heart of the pilgrimage.

Possible activities during the free day:

• Attend religious services at the Sanctuary—Masses celebrated throughout the day (guide will inform you of exact times, including evening services from the previous day)
• Personal contemplation and prayer in the places where Padre Pio prayed—precious time for silent meditation
• Visit Padre Pio Welcome Center: Information center with documentation about the Saint's life
• Visit the modern Basilica of St. Pio: Architectural masterpiece by Renzo Piano inaugurated in 2004, where the Saint's remains rest—space of contemporary sacred art and spirituality
• Walk in the historic center of San Giovanni Rotondo—atmosphere of peace and devotion
• Shopping for religious articles: Blessed rosaries, images, books about Padre Pio, spiritual souvenirs in shops near the Sanctuary
• Free lunch at one of the traditional local restaurants (Argiletum team recommendations—authentic Apulian cuisine)

Afternoon – Return to Rome
In the afternoon, at the agreed time, meet your private driver for transfer to Foggia station (about 40-50 minutes). Departure with 1st class train to Rome. Comfortable return journey arriving in Rome Termini in the evening (about 3 hours). End of Argiletum services at Rome station. Upon request, private transfer from station to your Rome hotel available (optional, not included).
